Dab Rig Cleaning Guide: How to Keep Your Rig Fresh

Clean equipment = better flavor and longer-lasting gear. Here's how to keep your dab rig in top condition.

Daily Maintenance

Banger/Nail

  • Q-tip swab while still warm after each dab
  • Dry swab first, then alcohol-dipped if needed
  • Prevents buildup and chazzing

E-Rig Atomizers

  • Swab chamber while warm
  • Avoid over-soaking electronics
  • Replace atomizers when flavor degrades

Deep Cleaning (Weekly)

Glass Pieces

  1. Empty all water
  2. Add isopropyl alcohol (90%+) and coarse salt
  3. Shake vigorously
  4. Let soak for stubborn buildup
  5. Rinse thoroughly with warm water
  6. Air dry completely

Bangers

  1. Soak in isopropyl alcohol
  2. Use Q-tips to scrub residue
  3. Torch clean for stubborn spots (careful not to crack)
  4. Rinse and dry

When to Replace Parts

  • Banger is permanently cloudy/black
  • E-rig atomizer gives weak vapor
  • Glass has cracks or chips
